BKL & Associates was established in 2004 with a bold vision of helping districts improve educational outcomes for all students. We believe the best way to achieve this is through developing leaders. Since our inception, we have provided professional learning opportunities and support to current and aspiring educational leaders in districts throughout the U.S.
MISSION
The mission of BKL & Associates is to inspire and prepare visionary leaders to transform schools into high performing educational systems meeting the needs of all students.
MODEL
Our professional learning model is designed to equip educational leaders with the tools needed to succeed in their roles. Our work is guided by Mendels’ framework for developing school leaders (2008), and the Wallace Foundation report on cultivating principal leadership in urban schools (2013). The work is also influenced by the Interstate School Leaders Licensure Consortium (ISLLC) standards for school leaders (2008).
